Isabella Dixon grew up in Buffalo, New York. After attending Buffalo Seminary for high school, she went on to SUNY Geneseo to pursue her passion for theatre. While at Geneseo, she discovered all the wonders of Costume Design, and received her BA in Theatre in 2016.

After graduating, she worked hard to continue her education, while designing as well, and after a few years back in Buffalo, decided to apply to graduate school.

At the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, she designed several shows, expanded her hair and makeup design experience, construction know-how, and wardrobe expertise. Despite the challenges of  Covid-19 and how theatre had been changed, she received her MFA in Costume Design in 2021.

Since graduating, she relocated to New York City, where she is currently working as a designer and construction artisan.
